CONWAY, South Carolina – The Coastal Carolina Men’s Golf Team will start at the 2021 Sun Belt Men’s Golf Championship at the Mystic Creek Golf Club in Dorado, Ark. from Sunday April 25 to Wednesday April 28.

The tournament will consist of 54 holes of stroke play over three days over a 7,181 yard par 72 course. Teams will start from separate tees, starting at 9:30 am ET, with six teams starting at n ° 1 and six teams from n ° 10.

The top four teams in the 54-hole stroke game will advance to match play on Wednesday April 28. seed n ° 1 and seed n ° 3 and seed n ° 2 on n ° 10. The Championship match will start from No.1 after the conclusion of the semi-final matches.

Les Chants will send six players to the championship this week in Zack taylor, Seth taylor, Fort of States, Tyler Gray, Jorgen viken, and Gavin Noble. Alone Zack taylor and Fort have played in a Sun Belt Championship tournament before.

CCU Zack taylor, who was named the Sun Belt Men’s Golfer of the Week on March 18, has played in all nine events of the season for the Chanticleers. The fifth-year senior leads the team and is second in the Sun Belt with an average of 71.54 strokes per season over the year, which ranks fourth all-time in CCU history in a single season. He’s recorded four individual top-10 standings during the year, including winning the ECU Intercollegiate, and has recorded 16 par rounds or better this season, including five rounds in the ’60s. His final round of 63 at Stitch Intercollegiate was tied for the lowest 18-hole individual score in CCU history.

As Zack taylor, Seth taylor has played in all nine events this season for the Chants and has averaged 74.08 strokes over 26 rounds of the year. The sophomore has entered seven par rounds or better during the season, including three rounds in the ’60s and a low round of 67 at Stitch Intercollegiate. The Gaffney, SC native recorded three individual top 20s during the season, including a sixth place finish at AGT Intercollegiate with rounds of 73, 69 and 69 for a 54 hole score of 210, 6 under par . He was also the CCU’s top golfer at The Hayt, ranking tied for 18th with rounds of 74, 74 and 71 and a score of 218, +2 on 54 holes.

Fort, Chants’ most seasoned golfer this season, was named Sun Belt Men’s Golfer of the Week on February 17. The fifth-year senior competed in six events during the spring season after retiring from the fall season. and is second on the team with an average of 72.00 strokes, the best stroke average of his CCU career to date.

Fort recorded three individual top-25 standings during the year, including winning the AGT Intercollegiate with rounds of 70, 70 and 65 for a score of 54 holes of 205, 11 under par. The Georgia native won 10 par rounds or better in the spring, including three rounds in the ’60s and shot a low round of 65 in the final round of the AGT Intercollegiate, which is tied for the eighth lowest. score of 18 holes in History of the UCC.

Join Zack taylor and Strong as an individual medalist this year, Gray has appeared in nine events this season, playing in the CCU roster in eight tournaments. He averaged 73.85 strokes over 26 rounds of play during the year and recorded nine or better par rounds and two rounds in the ’60s, including a low round of 66 at the AGT Intercollegiate. His weak round of 66 at AGT Intercollegiate is tied for the 14th lowest 18-hole score by an individual in CCU history.

Gray also landed two top-10s this season, including being an individual medalist at the Intercollegiate at the Grove, finishing in a three-way tie for first place at 140, -4, with rounds of 68 and 72. He also tied for eighth place at ECU Intercollegiate with rounds of 71, 74 and 73 for a 54 hole score of 218, +2, and was the best CCU player at Graeme McDowell Intercollegiate, finishing Tied for 11th overall with three consecutive rounds of 72, par even, for a tournament score of 216, par even.

As Seth taylor, Gray and Noble, Viken will play his first Sun Belt Championship this week. The Freshman Chant competed in two events during the spring season and averaged 73.83 strokes over six rounds of golf. He shot a low shot of 69 at ECU Intercollegiate and tied for 26th with rounds of 69, 77 and 76 for a score of 222, +6 on 54 holes in the event. Viken also played as an individual and finished tied for 29th in the General Hackler Championship with rounds of 74, 74 and 73 for a score of 221, +5 on 54 holes.

Noble played in five tournaments during the season, playing as an individual in the General Hackler Championship. He posted a 76.79 stroke average over 14 rounds of the year, including a 69 low stroke card at the Graeme McDowell Invitational in September. The second also shot in a round of 71 in the season opener.

He also recorded his first individual top-15 ranking with an 11th place finish at the Graeme McDowell Invitational, scoring 216 holes out of 54 holes, tied (69-71-76).

All three rounds of stroke play, as well as Wednesday’s semi-final and championship matches, will be broadcast live on ESPN + and scored live via Golfstat (HERE).
