Augustana Women’s Golf Set to Host Easter Lily Invitational This Weekend

SIOUX FALLS, SD — The Augustana Women’s Golf Team will host the Augustana Easter Lily Invitational this weekend at Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The game will begin with a gunshot at 10 a.m. on Friday. On Saturday, there will be a tee shot at 9 a.m. Willow Run Golf Course plays 5,960 yards at a par 70.

Augustana will be joined by golfers from MSU Moorhead, Minnesota-Crookston and Sioux Falls.

The Vikings are coming off fourth in the Wildcat Classic with a score of 629 during the two-day event last Monday and Tuesday. The Vikings saw four top-10 finishes in the event led by Lauren Tim with a score of 153 over two days to take fourth place.

Augustana competed in the Newman Invitational on April 4 and 5 where she placed seventh in the event with 622 shots. Molly Stevens would be tied for fourth in the event with 148 shots over the two-day event.

The Vikings opened the spring season with a pair of third-place finishes at the Augustana Spring Fling in Palm Desert, Calif., and the Midwest Intercollegiate Invite in Bolivar, Missouri. Stevens would lead the Vikings in the two events where she tied for third in the Spring Fling and tied for seventh in the Midwest Intercollegiate Invite.

For the season, Stevens leads the Vikings with an average of 76.37 over 9 events and 19 rounds played. Nathalie Young is just behind at 78.58 strokes over nine events and 19 rounds played. Tims is third on the list with 79.21, which includes his career-low 71 at the Newman Invitational.

The Vikings next play in the NSIC Championships at Paradise Pointe Golf Resort in Smithville, Missouri, April 22-24.
