We have been supplying the golf course with treated effluent for probably 30 years.

What we do know is that there have been reports of foul air and water. We know the sewage treatment plant is tested – so we don’t know what caused the smell or where it came from.

They don’t know if it’s related to the golf facility‘s effluent storage or the smell in the water as it’s piped to the facility, he says.

We will be meeting with golf course management today to be able to test the water at the facility where it is stored and to investigate other potential causes for this odor. We know this hasn’t been the case before…this seems like something new and we’ll get to the bottom of it.

He says reports from the sewage treatment plant show that the water does not smell at the time.
