Kilmore Golf Club welcomes new professional golfer

NATHAN Roberts is no stranger to Mitchell Shire golf courses and now offers lessons at Kilmore Golf Club as the new resident professional golfer.

Roberts joined Kilmore Golf Club in August last year to extend his reach to golfers in the county and provide training and coaching.

He currently coaches at Hidden Valley and Broadford Golf Clubs, including coaching an all-ability class at Broadford.

Roberts is eager to share his 21 years of coaching experience with new clients.

“A friend of mine used to go coach in America and I went to see what he was doing. I really liked it and when I came back I wanted to try,” he said. declared.

“Coaching allows me to work with children and adults of all levels…and it’s great to see what they accomplish.”

Roberts said anyone thinking of playing golf should try one of the county’s courses.

“It’s a game you can play forever and enjoy at any person level,” he said.

“I often hear that people wish they had tried golf at a younger age, only trying it for the first time for things like a work day of golf…but it’s something that can be enjoyed. at any age.”
