Mastodon Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams to Compete in the Dayton Flyer Invitational
FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne men’s and women’s golf teams will travel to Kettering, Ohio next week to participate in the Dayton Flyer Invitational.

Our famous architect is credited with historic designs such as Bay Hill, Cog Hill, Doral and Laurel Valley to name a few. NCR’s South Course currently ranks 68th on Golfweek’s Top 100 Classics list. The South Course, an extremely demanding par 71 course covering 7,055 meters of wooded and hilly terrain, has long been considered a championship-caliber golf course. The South Course has been the host site for numerous state, regional and national golf championships over its nearly 70 year history. In contrast, the North Course is a prairie-style, links-style golf course with a par of 70 covering a total of 6,828 yards. The North Course is a perfect complement to the South Course, offering a welcome change of pace while providing a severe test of golf for golfers of all skill levels. Our indoor golf studio is equipped with a Tru-Golf simulator giving the opportunity to play up to 85 championship golf courses and allows over 30 varieties of play. Lessons, leagues, clinics are available year round.

Kasey lilly holds all the major records in the history of men’s golf at Purdue Fort Wayne. He also has seven top-10s, four top-5s and has won one tournament: the Tom Tontimonia Invitational.

The Purdue Fort Wayne men’s golf team has the best four player average in program history this season by a significant margin. The Mastodons average 287.2 shots per round, beating the 2011-12 best of 10.9 shots per round.
The three best
Kasey lilly (69.4 – 1st), Tyler Green (72.2 – 2nd) and Brett Seward (73.5 – 4th) have three of the best four season averages in program history during the 2021-22 season. Third place is also held by Lilly.
One in a Brazilian
Laura Caetano, from Brasilia, Brazil, has the second-best career scoring average in Mastodon women’s golf history. She has a career average of 78.29, only behind Holly anderson average of 77.39.
The next best
Emma Schröder has the third best scoring average in program history, behind Caetano. Schroeder average of 80.16
Men: Kasey lilly won the Tom Tontimonia Invitational, leading the team to third out of 13 teams.
Women: Taylor Norman led the Mastodons to the Rocket Classic, finishing 13th in the field of 62 players. The ‘Dons finished 10th.
The next time
The Purdue Fort Wayne Men’s Golf Team has another tournament this fall: the Daniel Island Intercollegiate on October 31st. The next women’s golf team tournament will be in the spring.
