CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Men’s Golf Team hosts the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club (400 Asbury Road, toward Anderson) Monday and Tuesday, the program’s first since 2019.

The par 71, 7,279-yard course will feature 36 holes on day one, followed by the final round on Tuesday. Live scoring is available on Golfstat.com, with the first Bearcats teeing off at 8:15 a.m. on the first hole. Admission is open to the public.

“It’s always a great opportunity to showcase Coldstream and our home facility,” the head coach said. Doug Martin said. “This is the premier course in Cincinnati and anywhere in the country.”

UC will send out their same lineup from the season-opening Badger Invitational: Sam Jean, Ty Gingerich, William McDonald, Wyatt Plattner and Rylan Wotherspoon. Cole Harris and ryan ford will also compete individually.

While Gingerich was in redshirt for the 2019-20 season, Jean was in the lineup during the last edition of the September 30-October 30 tournament. 1 of this season. John tied for 39e with a 7 of 220, while Harris also finished 21st as an individual. His second-round 70 ultimately marked a season low on his 18 rounds.

On the other side of the event, McDonald was playing for Arkansas at the time and had his career-best showing in the Bearcat Invitational, finishing 16e with an even par 213 (69-69-75) to help the Razorbacks to second place.

Cincinnati’s first fall tournament was a bit marred by weather early on, making it a 36-hole event. UC finished sixth out of 18 teams, dropping from 11 after Game 1. Jean finished third after matching a career low of 66 on his final lap.

“With college golf and as competitive as it is, the fewer holes there are, the tighter the course,” Martin said. “It’s hard to get a split. I was happy with sixth place. I think 18 others we finish better. It was a good way to start in this 18-team field, and finishing sixth is a week pretty solid. In general, there were positive things to build on.”

Participating teams in the Bearcat Invitational will be Louisville, Kentucky, Rutgers, UNC Greensboro, Memphis, Lamar, Ball State, Illinois State, Miami (Ohio), Santa Clara, Xavier and Sam Houston State.
