Safety Beach Women’s Golf Club – News from the region

Shootout winner Leanne Clark (C), 2nd Yolly Gallacher (R) 3rd Rose Morrow (L).

SAFETY The Beach Women’s Golf Club recently ended their very successful competition with a Christmas Clubhouse Presentation / Party hosted by Beach Street Dining followed by entertainment provided by a very enthusiastic group of ukulele players and singers.

What a hoot.

The ladies at this club know how to have fun and at the end of the frivolity, the Christmas tree raised donations to Westpac Rescue Helicopter, a vital service, totaling $ 600.

It has been a year of change and we are very grateful to the Wyong Leagues Group for coming to our aid in these uncertain times, the gardeners for their continuous improvements to the course (weather permitting) and the interior staff for embellishment of the clubhouse.

Despite a lot of rainy weather, female golfers are hard to deter and the combination of serious and fun games has been taken care of very well.

Many visits to other clubs were appreciated as well as reciprocal visits to our very friendly club.

We have welcomed a number of new players and sincerely thank Pro Terry and Mitch for hosting a series of well attended and successful beginner camps.

The last official game on the calendar was a Shootout won by Leanne Clark, 2nd Yolly Gallacher, 3rd Rose Morrow.

Qualification for this exciting game is acquired over six months with the top ten point scorers making the cut.
