Lachlan Bill took the opportunity to win the May monthly medal to win the club’s best round in many years with a 62-under-6 round to win the Class A medal. Tom James took home the B rating with 65 and Eddie Hawkins won the countdown with 69 for the C note. In the recap were Russell Schmitt 65, Ken Wray 67, Eddie Sivell 67, Tom Heath 68, followed by Ryan Saville, Ryan Wilson, Simon Jiang and Chris Ryan all on 69 and Phil Elliott on 70. While visiting local family members, Angela Deacon managed to slip into a round of golf scoring 25 points and taking the $ 25 Goulburn Soldiers Club voucher on a field countdown to 43. Don Grimston and Chris Ryan both on 25, Eddie Hawkins 24, Tony Clewett and Lachlan Bill 23, and on 22 Gordon Rankmore, Sergeant Lindsay, Malcolm Young and Alan McDonald. Don Pennay, Brian Larkin, Di Schmitt and first-time contender Max Sakaisi finished the countdown all on 21. The Tully Ladies played a stableford event on Monday and in a tough scoring lap the division winners were Di Schmitt for div 1 and Beryl Gray for div 2 both with 29 points. June Spilland and Ruth Beveridge both made 28 and Beryl Gray was the closest to the pins on the Miter 10 hole. Notice: Sunday June 7th stableford. June 14 is a 4 person ambrose for players with a GA handicap. Groups of 4 are now allowed but 1.5m social distancing is still required on the course and around the clubhouse.
