Women’s Golf Set for Fall Finals in Georgia
CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s golf team is heading to Peach State this week for their sixth and final event of the fall season, competing in the Mercer Invitational Monday and Tuesday.
The two-day event will take place at the Brickyard Country Club, a 6,171 yard par 72 course with 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday.
Participating teams include Delaware, Charleston Southern, Georgia Southern, Mercer, Kennesaw State, Georgia State, Lamar, Seminole State and Samford. The team also competed in Idle Hour Collegiate in November 2019, but on a different course in town.
Katie hallinan, Sadie pan, Paighton Masterson, Alexis Daniel and Erin evans will represent on the dashboard, with Makenna jones and Julia rabadam competing individually.
The Bearcats competed in a match play event with Xavier last weekend and finished ninth in the Ozarks National Invitational (Oct. 18-20) in their previous action. The team’s 300 to start was their weakest round of the season, ultimately tying a 922 at the season low. Hallinan led with a 29th place and has the team’s best stroke percentage at 76.55. Sadie pan follows with a 77.00, largely helped by a fifth place finish at Toledo’s Rocket Classic which is one of the Bearcats’ top three this season.
