Women’s Golf Set for Pinehurst Women’s Intercollegiate
Cullowhee, North Carolina – West Carolina Women’s Golf opens its first of two straight tournaments in the eastern state on Monday, heading to the Pinehurst Resort No.6 course at par 72, 5,907 yards for the Pinehurst Women’s Intercollegiate.
WCU is one of nine teams scheduled for the competition, joined by the enemy from the South UNCG Conference. The estate also includes Boston College, Evansville, Morehead State, Rutgers, St. John’s, UNC Asheville, and Western Illinois.
West Carolina’s fifth goal is led by second Victoria ladd who just finished best career runner-up at Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. Ladd ranks 18th overall at SoCon for the race average of 77.50. She is flanked by junior Madison Isaacson, who ranks 11th in SoCon for the average score of 76.30, in the second seed. Elders Hazel Martin, Maya White, and Harpist Gilreath completing the Catamount range.
“The team are delighted to compete next week in the golf capital of the world and on the beautiful No.6 Pinehurst,” said the WCU head coach. Courtney gunter. “They have been working the last few weeks and are ready to enjoy some more competition.”

The Catamounts will remain on the road for the ECU Easter Invitational April 3-4 at Ironwood Country Club in Greenville, NC, in their final tune-up ahead of the SoCon Women’s Golf Championship April 19-20.
