Women’s Golf Set for the Pirate Collegiate Classic Tee
GREENVILLE, NC – The Marshall Women’s Golf Team is set to start their second tournament of the fall 2021 season at the Pirate Collegiate Classic, hosted by East Carolina. The three-round, two-day event is scheduled for September 20-21 at the Greenville Country Club.
The course is a par 72 with a total distance of 6,061. Live scoring is provided by GolfStat.com. The event will begin with start times at 8:15 am Marshall will begin at 9:05 am Teams will play two rounds on Monday, then another round on Tuesday.
Seniors compete for the Thundering Herd Torren Kalaskey and Jackie schmidt, junior Makena rauch, second year Shrout Hanna and first year student Katie potter will make his university debut.
There are 10 teams competing at Greenville Country Club. Along with Marshall, the other teams host (# 67) East Carolina, Cincinnati, Charleston Southern, High Point, Towson, The Citadel, Winthrop, UNC Asheville and Radford.
Marshall just played at the William & Mary Fall Invitational on September 12-13. Kalaskey shot a par of 72 in the second round and Schmidt scored 73 of 1 in the third round. Schmidt led the herd in the standings, finishing tied for 29th.
