Women’s golf set to defend their crown at the Schooner Fall Classic
Britta snyder, Gurleen Kaur, Rosie Belsham and Hannah karg were all members of the winning team in 2020 and they will make the return trip in 2021.
âWe’ve had good feelings there since last year, with four of the four of the five that played in this event,â said the head coach. Jay goble noted. “It’s always a really cool event that ties into Toby Keith and his foundation, so always nice to be a part of this event.”
First-year student Antonia Matte, who completes the Baylor roster, played very well in his college debut. She shot three laps under par at the Cougar Classic, and Goble is excited to see what she can do on the 6109-yard par 70 course at Belmar.
âI am delighted to take the same training we had at Yemans Hall,â Goble said. âI think this is our best roster right now. Antonia played so well in her first event so I’m delighted to see her on this golf course.
Senior Gurleen Kaur Tied for the individual title in 2020 thanks to three rounds in the 60s on his way to a 5 under par 205.
The event will begin with the first two rounds on Sunday starting with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Baylor will start at hole 4, with Snyder and Matte in the lead. Rosie Belsham will start his turn at No.5, while the formation is completed by Kaur at No.6 and Karg at No.7.
